If people actually listened to the news or read an article, they would know that this stupid ‘bill’ is just to crack down on sites involved with piracy. -.-
Actually, the Bill says it’s anti piracy, but the power to take sites down is in the hands of big corporations. They can take down any site they want for no reason, and this means free speech sites like tumblr and youtube are under risk of take-downs.
It won’t even stop piracy, people will always find ways to download, and it’s technophobes who make these laws.
In the past 3 months, I’ve spent nearly £250 on Games, and I wonder why I can’t afford stuff.
Oh well, PC gaming is still awesome
Apple, Windows, Current Tech Trends (RANT!)
Well, since Steve Jobs died two days ago, I felt I should write this up.
This is just a summarization of all of my opinions of things.
This is a Opinion, do not take these ideas as facts, this is based on what I know, and what I’ve learnt from places on the Internet.
Also, Mild/Strong language in this post.
To start off with:
Apple:
-When Apple Started, They were brilliant, they pretty much made Computers accessible by the general public, but nowadays, most of their ideas, are rehashed things from others.
- MACS are PCs! Seriously, that’s like my main pet peeve with Macs/PCs
-Macs are overpriced like fuck, if lowered to an agreeable rate, PC users would be less annoying about it.
-Macs are NOT used in Hollywood any-more, most of the film studios use PCs or Linux computers, Macs were once used in Hollywood, as Windows versions of Adobe software was shite on PCs, but now it’s good. So they use different things. (Though, some studios still use macs, as that’s what the people are used to)
-I am not against Apple, Steve Jobs, or any staff, it is the Mac fans who force things down your throat, But, there are still Windows-fags which balances the scale.
-People cannot say: ‘You haven’t used it, you won’t know’ in reference to iPhones, iPads and so on, iOS is so basic and limited I wouldn’t need to, it’s made all shiny to distract others from lack of other features, and in the iPhone’s case, the bad phone quality.
-A lot of the iPhones ‘features’ are distractions, as I said in the previous point.
-iPods were originally patented in the 70s by a british man, but he could not renew the patent, so Apple took the idea and developed it onto the iPod from 2001.
-The Original Mac OS was called Windows, just after Windows 1.0 came out, hmm…
-The softwae on Macs are good, I’ll never deny that, but the rest of the OS, urghh..
-iPads are not the original Tablet PC, Bill Gates introduces it back in 2004/5, and iPhones are not the first touch screen phone.
-Macs are slowly getting more viruses/trogans, and Apple refuse to give support to those infected.
Windows/Microsoft:
-Windows forced it’s way to the top of the PC market. Bad Business tactics.
-Windows was a useless OS until after 3.11
-Microsoft Internet Explorer is a Shit browser, because it was stolen/bought from another company, messed up/with the code, and did not pay the original company royalties when it came with Windows.
-Windows 8 will be like Vista, buggy and mostly graphics based.
-Vista was made to fight off mac competition, they rushed it so it looked good, but released a buggy OS
-WINDOWS 7 IS VISTA SP3, That’s what it is, an update to Vista, nothing else.
-Windows has lots of software available, but most are buggy, infected, or costs money for simple functions.
-Windows is not virus filled because it is made badly, it’s because hackers/coders find security holes. Macs are getting security flaws as well.
Alienware (Get’s its own category):
-Alienware are not a good maufacturer of PCs.
-Alienware build massive PCs with style over substance, and are a massive fire hazzard.
-You can build a better Gaming PC for at least half the price of some Alienware PCs.
-You pay for the name, not the quality.
PC Gaming:
-PC gaming is the best gaming field, it’s undeniable when you look at facts about it.
-PC Games have better graphics, as the graphics are customizable, and graphics are upgradable at any time on PCs
-Consoles are put of date the moment they go on sale.
-PC gaming actually is quite pupluar, with milions of users on at any time.
-The world’s most popular Online game is for PC only, Call of Duty is not comparable.
I think that’s all I can think of at the moment, I could rant about my opinons of Tablets, Touchscreens and other things, but this is all for today.
